Employees of Harsha Trust, Bhubaneswar (Odisha) participated in sericulture training

Sericulture is a good adjunct business for economic improvement of farmers. As compared to the way in which sericulture business is growing in Maharashtra state, Odisha state does not yet see the trend of farmers towards this business and keeping in this view the employees of Harsha Trust, Bhubaneswar (Odisha), which works on various social issues, recently participated in a two-day training on sericulture at Sanskriti Samvardhan Mandal’s Krishi Vigyan Kendra, Sagroli on 28th and 29th November 2022.

During the two day training, Dr. Krishna Ambhure has guided them about Mulberry Nursery, Mulberry Cultivation Technology, Pests and Diseases on Mulberry and their Management, Pests and Diseases on Silkworms and their Management, cocoon harvesting and it’s marketing etc. During the training, programme they visited at farmer’s field at Adampur Tq. Biloli for live demonstration of silkworm rearing and to know the farmer’s experience about this business. During the two day programme, they visited various demonstration units at Krishi Vigyan Kendra, Sagroli and learned about this.
